***Inspiration & Development of a Quilt Artist Slide Show*** ALWAYS A FAVORITE
(1 Hour)
Traveling through time, we will witness the evolution of one Quilter from traditional bed quilts to contemporary wall pieces. You will see what has influenced some of the Quilter’s designs. This is a FAST paced slide lecture. It is a favorite for all because there is a wide variety of different styles of quilts. A few Samples.
“One of the best programs I’ve attended.“

***Portrait Quilts Lecture*** NEW
(1 hour)
Everyone loves a face. There is a wide variety of ways to capture people in quilts. This lecture will explore many different peoples portrait quilts. You will also see how easily I create my own portrait quilts using a guideline drawing under the fabric (so I can see exactly where to paint the features). A fast paced slide lecture with actual quilts. Check out my book "Portrait Quilts: Painted Faces You Can Do". See some Portrait Quilts.

***Kaleidoscope Quilts and the Many Possibilities***
(1 hour)
Kaleidoscopes are fascinating. It’s only natural that they are translated into quilts. In this slide lecture we’ll see the many possibilities for kaleidoscope quilts as well as the techniques and design tips to create them. Another FAST paced slide lecture. View some Kaleidoscope Quilts.

***Fantasy Fabrics Lecture***
(1 hour)
Fantasy Fabric. What is it? Wonderful fabric created by capturing various items under a sheer layer of fabric - cut fabrics, threads, feathers, silk flowers, Tintzl, glitter confetti, and a variety of other things. We'll explore how fantasy fabric is created and many of the spectacular uses and quilts. A slide lecture with actual quilts as well. Fantasy Fabric: Techniques for Layered Surface Design book available in November 1999. Fantasy Fabric Sampler

***NEW Painted Face for BEGINNERS Workshop*** (5 hour)
ALWAYS A FAVORITE
Yes you can!!! A guideline drawing under your fabric makes positioning features easy. By the end of the class you will have a painted face ready for the addition of hair and clothing. Once you learn this technique you will be able to paint your own choice of faces - family & friends. Combine this class with the “Fantasy Fabric Sampler” workshop and you will be able to complete a Painted Face design with hair and clothing.
“I need a ruler to draw a straight line, so I was amazed with the results of this workshop. Bonnie is a patient and expert instructor. I was having so much fun working on the first face that I did not remember that I wanted to put borders on it. I'll never doubt Bonnie again. She said I could and I did.“ Barbara Anderson

Painted Faces is one of the best classes I’ve taken. With the step-by-step instruction and excellent demonstration, everyone can paint a great face. No matter what your skill level or even if you have never painted before, Bonnie guides you every step of the way. She made learning to paint a face such a wonderful experience and broke it down into a workable process that anyone could do it. And they did...the whole class went home with great looking faces. ...Michelle Verbeeck

The title "Painted Faces" somewhat intimidated me when our guild offered this class because I’m one of those people who really can’t draw a straight line without a ruler. Bonnie’s insight and method of breaking down each feature of the human face made this project not only possible for me but it actually looks like my daughter, Julie!... JoAnne Finnigan
